Privacy policy

sell.thekms.uk · last updated 20 September 2026

sell.thekms.uk is a private, single-user tool. One person uses it to photograph their own second-hand belongings, estimate what those things are worth, and list them for sale on eBay. It has no public sign-up, no other users, and no commercial relationship with anyone who visits this page.

In short: the app holds photographs and descriptions of the operator's own possessions. It does not collect personal data about eBay buyers, eBay sellers, or visitors to this page, and it shares nothing with anyone.

What the app stores

What the app does not do

eBay account deletion and closure notifications

eBay notifies applications when a member closes their account so that any personal data held about that member can be erased. The app subscribes to those notifications and acknowledges every one it receives. Because it holds no data keyed to any eBay member other than the operator, there is nothing for it to erase, and no record of the notification is kept beyond an entry in an operational log.

Where the data lives

Item records are stored in a managed Postgres database hosted in the European Union, and photographs in Cloudflare R2 object storage. Both are private. The application itself sits behind an identity gate that permits exactly one Google account to reach it, so no visitor can open the app or view its contents. This privacy policy is the single deliberately public page, because eBay requires one.

Retention

Item records and photographs are kept for as long as the operator finds them useful and are deleted on request from within the app. The marketplace price cache expires after 24 hours. The eBay authorisation token is removed when the eBay account is disconnected, and stops working if it is revoked at eBay's end.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you may ask what personal data is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or erased. In the ordinary course this app holds none, because it only handles one person's own belongings. If you believe otherwise, get in touch and it will be checked and answered.

Contact

The operator can be reached through eBay member-to-member messaging on any listing created by this application, which reaches the account owner directly. Data protection questions sent that way will be answered.
